Some more folding...and drawing!

We haven't done art in a while and I've found some more videos for you! Remember, you can use scrap paper (old letters or even newspaper).

Please email your finished work to debeauvoirprimaryschool@gmail.com so I can share it with others!

Origami

Hello Year 4, we are going to make some crafts today.
Have you heard of origami? It is the art of paper folding

Click on the videos below to try it yourself. You don't need nice fancy paper. It works well with scrap paper too (and it's environmentally friendly!)

Take a photo of what you've done and email it to debeauvoirprimaryschool@gmail.com and I will share it with everyone in tomorrow's post!

1) Jumping frog

2) Dragon

3) Bunny

Ancient Egyptian Death Mask!

Remember when we learnt about the ancient Egyptians?

When someone died in Ancient Egypt, their body would have been preserved by being mummified. This meant that the soul would have somewhere to return to after death. A death mask was created so that the soul would recognise its body, and return to it safely.

Death masks were also believed to help to guard a dead person from evil spirits in the afterlife.

I want you to create (design) an Egyptian death mask.
You can first draw the outline of a mask. (See below)

Then you can colour it or draw different patterns on it.
Please email your finished work to debeauvoirprimaryschool@gmail.com and I will put all of your artwork in tomorrow's blog post.

Hi Year 4,

Last time I posted a few videos on drawing unicorns and sharks, a lot of you sent in your work! I thought you really enjoyed some art so I found some more on Youtube.

This time, we will be drawing some emojis!😎😍😊😋
Remember to take your time and if you have colouring pencils or pens, colour them too!

Please send your work to debeauvoirprimaryschool@gmail.com when you're done because I loved them so much last time!!

For extra challenge....I found this poke ball one!
