Ancient Egyptian Death Mask!

Remember when we learnt about the ancient Egyptians?

When someone died in Ancient Egypt, their body would have been preserved by being mummified. This meant that the soul would have somewhere to return to after death. A death mask was created so that the soul would recognise its body, and return to it safely.

Death masks were also believed to help to guard a dead person from evil spirits in the afterlife.

I want you to create (design) an Egyptian death mask.
You can first draw the outline of a mask. (See below)

Then you can colour it or draw different patterns on it.
Please email your finished work to debeauvoirprimaryschool@gmail.com and I will put all of your artwork in tomorrow's blog post.
